Scope of the position:

Based in our Toronto office, this role will blend technical depth and operations management expertise to manage, organize, and optimize iENSO’s manufacturing operations. Our work with distinguished brands such as Bosch, Bushnell, Bombardier, and Siemens, has set the standard for a world-class product platform. This individual will need to be a self-motivator with experience in early-stage company environments, allowing them to step outside their defined role and take on any activity that moves the goalposts and delivers results.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing, organizing, structuring, planning, and coordinating general activities in the organization’s operations.
  • Managing in-house small-scale manufacturing of embedded imaging and related products.
  • Interfacing with CMs for building PCBs and PCBAs for embedded imaging products.
  • Managing electronic component ordering and procurement and interfacing with component vendors.
  • Managing and organizing the in-house stock room.
  • Interfacing with CMs locally and globally to manage production builds for various customers.
  • Liaising and facilitating communication and issue resolution with the various CMs the company uses to do production builds of electronic imaging products.
  • Managing shipping and receiving operations of the company and preparing the necessary paperwork.
  • Preparing reports and audits to monitor and improve operations effectiveness.
  • Implementing policies and procedures and ensure compliance with such procedures.
  • Creating and managing long-term goals.
  • Structuring the operations as necessary and prepare suitable documentation to achieve ISO certifications.
  • Developing budgets and operating plans, as necessary.
  • Managing an operations team with a diverse array of abilities and responsibilities and helping drive team member performance.
  • Organizing and holding operations reviews with the management team.
  • Facilitating communication and transparency and meeting with stakeholders to help in resolving issues.
  • Evaluating, managing, and mitigating operations risks.
  • Participating in activities related to the mission and goals of the organization.

Job requirements

Preferred Experience, Skillset, and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in operations management or related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management, within a small-scale manufacturing environment.
  • Mathematically inclined and analytical
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage complex budgets
  • A high degree of literacy in using Operations, manufacturing, and scheduling management SW applications.
  • Ideally have some experience with IT Services Management
